Beauty Products
Of all the products that I have (and I have lots) these are the absolute essentials that make life a little bit lovely, that are just too good, that make getting ready, quick, a joy and a pleasure, or that just work.
The way that they should.
Boots No7 Essential Moisture TM.  Costs just £9.00 and is a little pot of lushness that you can pile on and never gets greasy and leaves your skin hydrated and soft. I use it on my hands and nails too.
GOSH liquid eyeliner pen in black. This hasn’t run – ever! I’ve had mine forever it seems and shows no sign of running out. It doesn’t clump or flake and it goes on in a precise line.
Nivea Facial Cleansing Wipes for dry and sensitive skin. Though a bottle of cleansing milk will cleanse more deeply these are great for being quick, travelling, and the ideal lazy girl’s (and I include myself in that) product for cleansing quickly before bed. They get rid of every trace of makeup and leave no oil or residue behind.
Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. Picks up skin, smoothes around eyes and helps keep make up on all day, it’s a brilliant product, pricey, but my last one lasted years, as you only need use the tiniest bit.
A little tin of Petroleum Jelly. Nothing else, no lip balm has ever worked as well on chapped lips as this does.
Rimmel Nail Rescue. A bargain of a base coat. Moisturises and strengthens nails, helps against flaking and holds coloured nail polish on brilliantly.
Sweet Almond Oil. The most multi functional of products. Can be used as a cleanser on dry skin or when skin feels sore, a night moisturiser for your face, mixed with body lotion for very dry legs, rubbed into the ends of your hair and washed out the next day for a moisturising treatment and rubbed into nails and cuticles any time or when you do a manicure.
Perfume. There has to be perfume. Mine is Beautiful by Estee Lauder, and it still gives me a little thrill every time I put it on.
That’s my little list of essentials, do you have anything that is just perfect? That you just can’t do without or that gives your day a little boost every time you use it? I’d love to hear what it is.
